  • Kabini is one of the most popular wildlife destinations of South India. One because it is very accesseble and two because of it rich wildlife. The Kabini river flows throuugh this prestine jungle. The place is also called as Kapila. There is a huge resorvoir. Once a private hunting lodge of the Maharaja of Mysore, Kabini was a popular shikar hotspot for British Viceroys and Indian royalty. Now it is considered to be one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in Karnataka, famous for its spectacular wildlife and bird life. On the banks of one of its prime attraction, Kabini River, one can easily spot wild animals like elephants and tigers. The national park is located on the southern-eastern part of Nagarhole National Park and covers an area of 55 acres of forestland, water-bodies and steep valleys.

  • Day 00 :
    Guests arriving from out stations need to arrive into Bangalore for a over night stay. We can recommend places to stay in Bangalore. If arranged by you, kindly let us know two to three days before arrival.

    Day 01 :
    Have an early start, preferably at 6.30 AM and Enroute stop over for breakfast at a little highway town called Bidadi at Adyar Ananda Bhavan. After a sumptuous breakfast, drive down to Kabini through the Princely state of Mysore. This traditional city still boasts a great palace. The Kings family still live in a part of the palace while the other part is open to tourists. After crossing Mysore, one gets to drive through the green fields and villages. The sight makes one completely forget the urban life. Arrive at the lodge after 11.30AM. Check in is after 12 noon. Guests are recommended to walk around the resort during day. One can easily sight multitude of birds. Lunch is served from 1PM. After noon safari starts at 3 PM. The forests is divided into two zones and the vehicles are allocated accordingly. Both the zones have their share of wildlife. During summers one gets to see huge herds of Asiatic elephants which come down to the reservoir to drink and bathe. It is a treat to the eyes. Kabini doesn't get very hot or very cold. This makes it one of the most desired destinations for not only humans but also the animals. During winter, early mornings and late evenings do gets a little nippy , so guests are recommended to wear a jacket to keep themselves warm. Return to the resort at 6.30PM. Freshen up and proceed towards the conference room to see a wildlife movie. Camp fire is set during winters. Dinner is served from 8PM. Retire at the resort.

    Day 02 :
    Wake up call is at 5AM. After a hot cup of tea at the Golghar ( a common meeting area where the food is served), proceed to the other zone. Kabini is known as the leopard capital of India. One gets to sight the elusive animal in all its glory perched on the high branches. Lucky ones get to see it with its kill. The jungle wakes up as the Tiger makes its move. Kabini along with Bandipur boasts a large number of tiger population. The water holes are favourite places to find the tigers. Return to the resort for a good spread of breakfast. One can either rest at the room or just walk around the resort to sight the winged beauties. After noon, the safari is optional and would be by boat at an additional charge of INR 1800 plus taxes per head. Guests opting not to go for the safari can spend time at the resort. This itself is an experience. Retire at the resort after dinner.

    Day 03 :
    Wake up at leisure, freshen up, have some hot tea or coffee at the Golghar. Your check out time is 11AM, so you have a wonderful time to explore the banks of the Kabini backwater. The winter mornings are magical here at the resort. One can also opt to go for a safari by paying an additional INR 1800 plus taxes. After breakfast, pack up bags and drive back to Bangalore with a lot of sweet memories and some very good pictures. Stop over at Mysore for a quick lunch and reach Bangalore to proceed to respective destinations.

    • The services of Vehicles is not included on leisure days and after finishing the safari drives as per the itinerary given.

  • Payment Terms

    • Indian nationals: 100% payment on or before 60 days of travel.
    • Foreign Nationals:100% payment on or before 90 days of travel.

    Cancellation Policy

    • 50% refund if cancelled before 50 days of travel.
    • 20% refund if cancelled 30 days before travel.
    • No refund if cancelled after above mentioned days.

    Additional terms

    • This tour requires a general fitness among individuals.
    • A medical certificate will be needed to be produced giving a basic stats of your vitals.Indeminity bond needs to be signed prior to the tour.
