Bandhavgarh Tiger reserve, India

  • Bandhavgarh is a combination of two words, Bandhav meaning brother and Garh meaning Fort. The legend says Lord Rama had gifted this beautiful fort to his loving brother Lakshmana. This ancient fort lies in the hillock of the Vindhya ranges in the district of Umaria. The forests is divided into three zones, Tala, Magadi and Khitouli. The park constitutes of 448 sq kms and the buffer zone extends to about 466 sq kms. Last couple of years it was Tala zone where the maximum number of tigers were sighted, making it as The Premium zone, but this season Magadi and Khitouli zones stole the show. The last official census claimed that there were 63 tigers in the 448 sq kms. Chances of seeing a tiger at Bandhavgarh is high compared to the other national parks. The tiger population has been increasing with many cubs being born in the last couple of years. Every tiger has been given a name here!!! Some of the world famous Tigers from this park are Charger, Mohini, Sita. The famous tigers today are B2, Bheem, Rajbehra Female, Kankati and Dotty.

    Jabalpur. It is about 5 hours jouney from Jabalpur.

  • Day 01:
    Arrive at Jabalpur or Katni. Transportation would be arranged from Jabalpur and Katni at an additional cost. Guests have to reach before 10AM to these locations. Arrive at the resort for a quick lunch and get ready to make your maiden visit into the forests of Bandhavgarh. The topography varies between steep ridges, undulating, forests and open meadows. With the density of the Royal Bengal being the highest here in India, one has got a very good chance to see these beauties in close quarters. Retrun to the resort by 7PM for a nice campfire followed by dinnner. Retire for the day.

    Day 02:
    Wake up call at 5.30AM. After a hot cup of tea, get inside the forests. Winter mornings are really chilled and one needs to snug under the blanket. The frsh air of the jungle refreshens our sole. The chirping birds welcome you with their chorus. The forests wakes up as the King is on the move. Early mornings are one of the best time to view the magficient tigers. In summers, late afternoon brings these cats to the water holes. Apart from the tiger the elusive leopard also has its home in these jungles. Their stealth and camoflauge makes it very difficult to sight them. But one doesn't take his/her eyes off when they get to see the leopard. Retrun to the resort for a much needed breakfast and rest. Noon in winters is a good time to take a stroll around the property before lunch. Affter lunch, it is again safari time. While coming back, one can taste the local cuisine at the shops adjoining the forest roads. Retire at the resort listening to the stories of the famous tigers of Bandhavgarh.

    Day 03:
    Wake up call at 5.30AM. One can go for the morning drive or just laze around in the property. Winters are very good time to sigth the birds. Summers are better to get into the forest to get the last look at the Tiger and bid him good bye. Check out after breakfast. End of tour.

    • The services of Vehicles is not included on leisure days and after finishing the safari drives as per the itinerary given.

  • Payment Terms

    • Indian nationals: 100% payment on or before 90 days of travel.
    • Foreign Nationals:100% payment on or before 120 days of travel.

    Cancellation Policy

    • 50% refund if cancelled before 50 days of travel.
    • 20% refund if cancelled 30 days before travel.
    • No refund if cancelled after above mentioned days.

    Additional terms

    • This tour requires a general fitness among individuals.
    • A medical certificate will be needed to be produced giving a basic stats of your vitals.Indeminity bond needs to be signed prior to the tour.
